So what exactly is a blondie and how did they get their name?

Think of blondies as the delicious cousins of brownies. While brownies get their rich, dark colour from cocoa or chocolate, blondies skip the cocoa and instead highlight the rich, buttery goodness of brown sugar. This gives them a lighter, golden hue – hence the name “blondies.” They’re like the blonde version of brownies, offering a caramel-like flavor that’s totally irresistible.

So, if you’re a fan of that fudgy texture but want to switch things up from chocolate, blondies are your go-to treat. They bring all the satisfaction of a brownie but with a unique twist that’s all their own!
