Ingredients
- 2–4 hot cross buns
- Butter (for greasing)
- 100g milk or dark chocolate (or chocolate spread)
- 8–12 marshmallows
Instructions
- Preheat your waffle iron
Lightly grease with butter to prevent sticking. - Prepare the buns
Slice the hot cross buns in half horizontally. - Waffle the buns
Place each half into the waffle iron and cook for 2–4 minutes, or until golden, crisp, and slightly caramelised. - Add the filling
Layer chocolate onto the bottom halves. - Toast the marshmallows
Place the marshmallow on top of the chocolate, place under the grill until golden and gooey. Cover with foil if the marshmallow is burning too much. - Assemble the s’mores
Sandwich with the other waffled hot cross bun half. - Serve immediately
Best enjoyed warm while the chocolate is melted and the marshmallows are soft and stretchy.
