Ingredients

Puff pastry bows (2 Jus-rol puff pastry sheets makes 4 bows)

  • 2 sheets ready-rolled puff pastry (chilled, not frozen)
  • Nutella (approx. 1 heaped tbsp per bow)

Instructions

  1. Unroll your puff pastry sheet and cut out 6-inch round circles using a cutter, bowl, or template.
  2. Place 1 heaped tablespoon of Nutella onto each pastry circle. Spread it over half of the circle.
  3. Fold the pastry over to create a semicircle and press the edges together firmly. Shape the bow:
    1. Using a sharp knife, make two slits in the curved edge of the semicircle, evenly spaced, making three “tabs.”
    2. Gently pull the middle tab forward, and tuck the two outer tabs underneath it to create a bow shape.
(Everything stays attached — you’re just rearranging the sections.)
  1. Brush the top of each bow with beaten egg for a shiny golden finish.
  2. Transfer to a baking tray lined with parchment and bake at 160°C fan for 20-25 minutes until puffed, golden, and crisp.
