Whether you’re serving them with chips, mash, or just eating them straight from the pan, these homemade IKEA meatballs are guaranteed to hit the spot.

Ingredients

Ikea Creamy Gravy

  • 3tsp butter
  • 2tbsp flour
  • 300ml beef stock
  • 50ml double cream
  • 1tbsp soy sauce
  • 1tbsp mustard

Other items needed

  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Meatballs (use per made or make from scratch)

Instructions

 

  1. Turn the meatballs into heart shapes, then fry on both sides. Set aside.
  2. Make a roux - melt the butter in a sauce pan, add the flour, stir to combine on a low heat.
  3. Pour in the beef stock, stir to combine, then the cream. You might need a whisk to combine all the ingredients.
  4. Add the soy sauce and mustard. Mix until smooth and combined, if it's too thick add some cold water.
  5. Add the meatballs into the creamy gravy.
  6. Serve with a garnish of parsley and fries.
