If you love garlic bread and want to take it to the next level, this Cheesy Garlic Bread with Sweet Chilli Chicken is going to be your new go-to recipe. It starts with buttery, golden garlic bread, layered with tender sweet chilli chicken and plenty of gooey melted cheese — all crisped to perfection in the air fryer. Whether you’re after a quick lunch, an easy dinner, or a crowd-pleasing snack, this recipe hits every comfort food note with minimal effort.

Ingredients
Sweet chilli chicken
- 1tbsp chicken seasoning
- 2 chicken thighs
- 4 tbsp plain flour
- 3tbsp cornstarch
- 6 tbsp sweet chilli sauce/dip
- 4tbsp soy sauce
- 2tbsp sriracha
Cheesy garlic bread
- Cheesy garlic bread
- 1 loaf bread
- 100g butter (room temperature)
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1tbsp chopped parsley
- Mozzarella cheese (as much as you like)
- Red Leicester cheese (as much as you like)
Other items needed
- Black sesame seeds
Instructions
Sweet chilli chicken
- Cut the skinless chicken thighs into chunks, cover in the chicken seasoning. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Mix the flour and cornstarch together, then coat the chicken chunks.
- Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 180c.
- Spray the air fryer with cooking oil spray, then add the chicken chunks.
- Spray the chicken chunks until most of the flour and cornstarch disappears.
- Bake at 180c for 20 minutes.
- Mix the sweet chilli sauce/dip, soy sauce and sriracha together, then heat in a sauce pan for 3 minutes.
- Once the chicken is finished cooking, pour over the chicken, set aside.
Assemble
- Cut the bread loaf in half, decide if you are going to use both pieces of bread or just one half.
- Spread the butter on the bread then bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes at 230c fan. (Make sure it does not burn)
- Once the garlic butter has melted and the bread is toasted add half of the sweet chilli chicken on top, mozzarella and Red Leicester cheese.
- Grill for 2 minutes at 250c be careful it does not burn.
- Add the remaining sweet chilli chicken on top, black sesame seeds and chopped parsley.
