  • 100g dark chocolate
  • 60g hazelnuts, peanuts/cashews (use which ever nut you prefer)

Other items needed

Instructions

Prep the ice cream cones

  • Coat the inside of the ice cream waffle cones with Nutella to stop them from going soft after adding the cheesecake. Optional: Slightly warm the Nutella (microwave for 10 sec) to make it easier to spread inside the ice cream cones
  • Using a small spoon or spatula spread a layer of Nutella inside each cone.
  • Place in the fridge for min 1 hour.

Nutella Cheesecake

  • Beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  • Warm the Nutella in the microwave for 10 seconds pour into the cream cheesecake.
  • Add the icing sugar, mix until creamy.
  • In a separate bowl whip the cream until soft peaks form, do not over mix.
  • Gently fold in whipped cream for a light, fluffy texture.

Assemble

  • Pipe the Nutella cheesecake into the ice cream cones.
  • Add some Nutella into another piping bag and pipe into the middle of the Nutella cheesecake.
  • Place the ice cream cones upside down in tall glasses for min 4 hours, or overnight.
  • Once the cheesecake filling has set in the fridge, chop the nuts into small pieces.
  • Melt the chocolate in the microwave, in short bursts.
  • Mix the nuts and the chocolate together.
  • Dip the ice cream cones in the chocolate, only one coat. Then place them on a baking rack with a tray underneath.
  • Place them in the fridge to set.
  • Make the red bows and put a small dab if chocolate on the back and stick on to the Ferrero Rocher Christmas trees.
