Ingredients

Burgers (makes 6-7 tacos)

  • 250g mince beef
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Burger sauce

  • 4tbsp Ketchup
  • 3tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 2tbsp Mustard
  • 4 tbsp Finely chopped gherkins

You’ll also need

  • Pack of Soft white tortillas
  • 4.5" heart-shaped cookie cutter
  • Cheese slices (optional but highly recommended)

Instructions

  1. Make the burger sauce- Mix ketchup, mayo, mustard, and chopped gherkins to make your homemade burger sauce. Set aside until ready to use.
  2. Chop some extra gherkins and lettuce for garnish, set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix the mince beef with smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until just combined.
  4. Cut the heart shapes out of the tortillas before pressing the beef on top, i found this easier than adding the beef then cutting them out.
  5. Push the beef on top of the heart shaped tortillas.
  6. Heat a frying pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
  7. Place the tortilla beef side down, cook until the beef is crispy and well-browned.
  8. Flip so the tortilla is on the pan, add cheese if using, and cook until the tortilla is golden and slightly crisp.
  9. Drizzle with burger sauce, add the extra chopped gherkins and lettuce, fold, and serve immediately.
